Gut and Psychology Syndrome offers a variety of recipes to get you started.  The very important recipes for ghee and yogurt are in the book and since you must own the book to execute the diet properly, we are not going to list those recipes again.

DRINKS

Banana Nut Shake

Ingredients:
1 frozen banana
1 cup home-made yogurt
2 tablespoons peanut butter or other nut butter
2 tablespoons raw honey

Instructions:
1.    Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until
       smooth.


Egg Nog

Ingredients:
12 large eggs
13 ounces home-made yogurt
1 cup raw honey

Instructions:
1.    Beat the eggs together.
2.    Add the home-made yogurt and raw honey.
3.    Pour into a jar glass or stainless steel jar with
       lid and keep refrigerated.

Yogurt Smoothie

Ingredients:
5 tablespoons home-made yogurt
1/2 cup fresh and/or frozen fruit
1 banana
honey to taste

Instructions:
1.    Blend until smooth.


Honey Ginger Lemonade

Ingredients:
1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
1/2 cup honey
1/4 cup peeled fresh ginger slices
7 springs fresh mint
2 cups purified water
4 cups ice cubes

Instructions:
1.    Put the juice, honey, ginger, and 1 chopped sprig of the mint in a large pitcher and stir, pressing the mint and ginger to release flavor.
2.    Add the water and stir until the honey dissolves, then add the ice.
3.    Pour into six 10-ounce glasses and garnish each glass with a sprig of mint.
MEALS

Chicken Nuggets

Ingredients:
1 lb boiled chicken
Home-made mayonaise (Recipe in GAPS book)

Instructions:
1.    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
2.    Put chicken in food processor.
3.    Mix chicken with mayonaise to form a paste  and add salt and pepper to taste.
4.    Put mixture on a baking sheet in "nugget" shapes.
5.    Bake for 35 minutes.


Hamburger Pizza

Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef
1/2 cup nut flour
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon oregano
1/2 cup tomato sauce (GAPS/SCD approved)
Toppings (vegetables, cheese, sauce)


Instructions:
1.    Mix all ingredients together.
2.    Stir together hamburger, nut flour, salt and oregano.
3.    Stir in 1/2 cup tomato sauce.
4.    Spread meat mixture in ungreased baking sheet with sides (may be 
       greasy).
5.    Pour desired amount of tomato sauce on top and add desired 
       toppings.
6.    Bake uncovered for 20 minutes.
SNACKS & DESSERTS

Spicy Walnut Cookies

Ingredients:
2 cups walnuts
1/4 cup honey
1 tablespoon cinnamon
2 eggs whites, whisked until frothy

Instructions:
1.    Grind nuts and cinnamon in blender or food processor.
2.    Combine ground nuts and cinnamon with egg whites and honey.
3.    Drop by teaspoon onto cookie sheet and bake at 350 degrees F for 15 minutes.


Strawberry Sherbert

Ingredients:
1 egg white
1/2 lb strawberries
1/2 cup honey
juice of 1 lemon

Instructions:
1.    Beat egg white until stiff. 
2.    Blend together remaining ingredients in seperate bowl.
3.    Slowly combine all ingredients and beat for 20 minutes.
4.    Freeze
