Description
The human gut contains trillions of bacteria, comprising over 400 species. The majority are beneficial but some can adversely effect the body’s own defenses. You are exposed every day to hostile bacteria through food and drink. To counterbalance these invaders, you need to ensure a healthy level of “beneficial” bacteria. The healthy level of good bacteria in the gut can be reduced by factors such as poor diet, antibiotics, foreign travel, stress, aging, and infection. A convenient way of maintaining the healthy balance in the gut is to use a probiotic.
Probiotics were first scientifically identified as being helpful by Dr. Metchnikoff, a Nobel Prize winner working at the Pasteur Institute in Paris in 1907. BioKult, an advanced broad spectrum probiotic, was developed by a team of doctors, nutritionists, and scientists.
Ingredients: Probiotic cultures [Bacillus subtilis PXN 21, Bifidobacterium spp. (B. bifidum PXN 23, B. breve PXN 25, B. infantis PXN 27, B. longum PXN 30), Lactobacillus spp. (L. acidophilus PXN 35, L. delbrueckii ssp. bulgaricus PXN 39, L. casei PXN 37, L. plantarum PXN 47, L. rhamnosus PXN 54, L. helveticus PXN 45, L. salivarius PXN 57), Lactococcus lactis ssp. lactis PXN 63, Streptococcus thermophilus PXN 66], Cellulose (bulking agent), Vegetable Capsule (Hydroxypropylmethyl Cellulose).
Strength: Minimum 2 billion probiotic microorganisms per capsule (2×109 CFU/capsule), equivalent to 10 billion probiotic microorganisms per gram (1×1010 CFU/gram)
General Use One to two capsules twice daily with food. If taking two or more capsules daily, divide daily dose in two. Antibiotic Therapy Take four capsules daily, ideally at a different time of day from the antibiotics. If possible begin no later than taking the first antibiotic. Continue taking for at least two weeks after completion of the antibiotic course. For Travelers take two capsules daily for one week before travel. Increase to 4 capsules daily during travel. Continue to take for at least two weeks following end of travel. If taking anti-malarials, continue for at least two weeks after completion of the course.
